Vasiliki (Vicky) Margariti

Digital and Telecom Attaché, Permanent Representation of Greece to the EU

Vicky Margariti has recently taken over duties as Digital and Telecom Attache’ on behalf of the Hellenic Ministry of Digital Governance at the Permanent Representation of Greece in EU in Brussels.

She is an experienced Software Engineer with a demonstrated history of working in the information technology and services industry both in private and in public sector. For the last 3 years she has acted as the Head of e-Government and Interoperability Unit at the Hellenic Ministry of Digital Governance and served as the National Representative at the Interoperability Expert Group of European Commission. During her service, she coordinated the design and implementation of the new National Interoperability Framework in alignment with the European strategy for interoperability. Before that, she acted as an Advisor to the Deputy Minister of Digital Governance leading and coordinating the design and implementation of the National Digital Academy, in alignment with the National Strategy for Digital Skills.

Vicky Margariti is also a researcher in the area of Information Systems Interoperability, at the Department of Informatics and Telematics at Harokopio University of Athens, Greece. She holds a BSc Degree in Computer Science from Hellenic Open University in Greece, a BSc Degree in Automation Engineering from University of West Attica, and an MSc Degree in Data Communication Systems from Brunel University London in UK. She has published in international conferences such as EGOV-CeDEM-ePart, ICEGOV, HICSS and international journals such as Government Information Quarterly.
