Albena Mihovska

Dr. Albena Mihovska, PhD EEng (2008) is a renowned executive CTO with an impressive academic background and extensive experience in the field of innovative communication technologies and entrepreneurship. With over 20 years of experience as an Associate Professor at Aalborg University and Aarhus University, Denmark, Dr. Mihovska has established a strong research track record, securing significant external research funds and leading large-scale EU-funded R&D projects.

Dr. Mihovska's expertise extends to standardization, contributing to ITU-R, 3GPP, ITU-T, ETSI, and IEEE802.19, with a focus on spectrum assessment methodology, IMT-Advanced/IMT-2030 requirements, 6G robotics, and other 6G-related topics. She is currently the WG3 Vice-Chair of the One6G Association, driving research activities on 6G topics with over 140 member organizations. Dr. Mihovska is an IEEE R8 Standards Coordination Member.

In addition, Dr. Mihovska is a Founding Member of CTIF Global Capsule (CGC) Foundation and a Board Member of EUROMERSIVE. She has published over 200 peer-reviewed research publications and serves on the Steering Committee of IEEE Black Sea Communications Conference and previously on IEEE WCNC. She has also served as Workshop Co-Chair and TPC Co-Chair of the IEEE GLOBECOM'15 and GLOBECOM’20, respectively; IEEE GLOBECOM'23, IEEE ICC’2024 & IEEE GLOBECOM'24 Workshop on Enabling Security, Trust and Privacy in 6G Wireless Systems, as well as IEEE WCNC'24 Workshop (endorsed by one6G) on 6G for Connected and Immersive Intelligence. She is also an IEEE Public Visibility Initiative Participant.
